What is the difference between Bank IBAN Number & GIBAN Number ?
A GIBAN is unique IBAN number that is given to every taxable person .
It means , This payment method can be used for settling any outstanding VAT and Excise tax amounts payable including tax and penalties to Federal Tax authorities.
For example if you want to pay AED 200,000 to the Federal Tax Authority in terms of VAT payments , then in that case most preferable payment method is bank transfer .
How to process the bank transfer by online .
- Log In to you bank account and add Federal Tax authority as a beneficiary Name.
- Beneficiary bank name , Central bank of UAE
- Beneficiary bank address – Abu Dhabi
- Then add GIBAN . GIBAN is our beneficiary bank account number
How we can get our GIBAN no?
Login to e-services in the FTA portal and obtain your GIBAN from the dashboard . You will have different GIBAN s for VAT and Excise Tax.
